1st Langley's Former Group Scout Leader, Mark Foster is still in shock after what started off as a bit of fun has now developed into one of the largest Internet Scout Group in the world.

In 2007, Mark join a social utlity site Facebook. Then noticing you could start your own group he decided for a bit of fun to start a group called "1st Facebook Scout Group". One month and 1000 members later this group was growing with Scouts across the world.

As Mark say's I started getting emails and messages from Scouters across the world, countries such as Sweden, Argentina, Lebonen, Syria and many more.

The group has now its own official badge and scarf, and has even been mentioned in the Feb/March edition of Scouting Magazine.

On being asked the purpose of this group, Mark says, this allows scouts from across the world to share ideas and experiences. Some may even learn about others cultures and that always makes for a better world.
